Love Asking Why is a publication of questions and their answers. You bring the question, the one you keep circling back to, and it gets answered in full: an original essay or a report, by us, by an invited quest writer, or by an expert in the field. No hot takes. No manufactured certainty. A real question, taken seriously, and followed wherever it leads.
How it works

Quest writers
Invited contributors are quest writers, and their pieces are Quests. They bring their own questions and answers. If you write, think, or build around a question worth chasing, there may be room for you here. Pitch the question you want to answer, and why you are the one to answer it.
Who's behind it
We are a small, deliberately anonymous group. We keep our names off the page on purpose: a question should stand on its own, not on a byline, and we would rather chase a good one in the open than protect a reputation. What we share is the habit, we are the people who never stopped asking why.
Sometimes we answer a question ourselves. Sometimes we hand it to a quest writer whose mind fits it. And sometimes we take it straight to an expert in the field. Quest writers and experts are always credited. We are not.
The Pilgrim
Every question is a small journey, and Olórin has taken more of them than anyone. He is the hooded figure you will see keeping company with the questions here: not an oracle, and never one to hand you a tidy answer. He simply knows these roads, and the minds who live along them. Bring him a question and he takes it seriously, carries it to the person best suited to answer it, and stays with it until it comes back in full. He is our emblem and our guide, the personification of our curiosity, not one of the people behind it. When we stay out of sight, Olórin is who you talk to. His full name, for those who like the lore, is Olórin Rigel, after the star travelers steer by.
