Privacy Policy

Effective: July 4, 2026 · Last updated: July 12, 2026

Love Asking Why (“we,” “us,” “our”), operated by Always Questioning LLC, respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you visit loveaskingwhy.com or submit a question, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Submissions. The question or pitch you write, plus your first name and email address.
  • Correspondence. Anything you send us by email at [email protected].

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data. When you submit the form or visit the site, our service providers may process basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device, and the time of your request, for delivery, security, and spam prevention.
  • Fonts. Our pages use fonts that we host directly on our own site, so no separate font provider receives your IP address.
  • Push notifications. If you choose to turn on notifications, your browser or device creates a push subscription: a unique endpoint address and cryptographic keys (a device push token). We store this so we can notify you when a new answer is published. It does not include your name or email and does not identify you personally to us. You can turn notifications off at any time in your browser or device settings.

Our form and hosting providers may process technical data such as IP address for security and spam prevention. We do not use advertising trackers. Analytics are off by default; if we enable privacy-respecting product analytics (for example PostHog) on a page, we will disclose it here and configure it to minimize personal data.

2. How we use your information

  • To read, consider, answer, and where relevant publish responses to your question.
  • To contact you about your submission, if you gave us an email.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the site.
  • To send you notifications about new answers, if you have turned them on.
  • To comply with law and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Legal bases (for EU/UK visitors)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (submitting the form), our legitimate interests (running the publication, security, spam prevention), and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

4. Who we share it with

We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf, only as needed to run the publication:

  • Form processing: Web3Forms, which delivers your submission to us.
  • Email: Google Workspace, which hosts [email protected].
  • Hosting: Cloudflare Pages, which serves the site and may process technical data such as IP address for security and delivery.
  • Notifications: if you turn on notifications, we deliver them using a Cloudflare Worker that stores your push subscription in Cloudflare storage, and delivery is routed through your own browser or device push service (for example, one provided by Google, Mozilla, or Apple).
  • Newsletter: Beehiiv, if you subscribe or if we publish there. Beehiiv’s own privacy policy governs its handling of your data.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer. We are based in the United States; if you are outside the US, your information will be processed here and by the providers above.

5. Automated processing and AI

We do not currently use automated decision-making or artificial-intelligence systems to evaluate or profile you, and we do not feed your submissions into third-party AI systems. If that changes, we will update this policy before doing so, name the service used, describe what it does, and state whether your content may be used to train the provider’s models.

6. Publishing your question

If we choose to answer your question, we may publish it, in whole or in part and edited for length or clarity, as part of the publication. We may credit you by first name. If you would rather we not use your name in publication, tell us. If you would rather stay anonymous, or would rather we not publish your question at all, tell us in your submission or email [email protected]. We will not publish your email address.

7. How long we keep it

We keep submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to run the publication and for our records, and then delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see below).

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know, delete, and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any right, email [email protected] and we will respond as required by law.

9. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, and our providers maintain their own safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Adults only

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has submitted personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.

12. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data: [email protected] or (702) 802-8264.
